How Acts of Giving Change Lives

Join us for a delicious light lunch catered by Personal Chef Steven Crowe of Crowe's Traveling Cuisine and our special guest speaker Brenda Hollenbach.

Brenda Hollenbach of Hummelstown will be inspiring us with stories of how women's lives here in our community have been touched by small acts of kindness.   Brenda's love for ministering to women to help them grow in their relationship with Jesus will inspire you.  She will share how she's personally seen lives changed by an act of giving.

Can you imagine being homeless, being in an abusive living situation or suffering with addiction?   How can the gift of hope change the life of a woman, a mom, your neighbor, a member of your church community?  Can a pillowcase and Bible really make a difference?   Yes, it can!

Cost:  $30 per attendee    **Limited seating is available so register early!

Speaker Bio:

Brenda Hollenbach lives in Hummelstown, PA, and has followed Jesus since she was a teenager.   Shortly after accepting Christ as her Savior, God worked out some specific circumstances in her life that showed His love for her in a very personal way, and she has never been the same!   Being confident of His care and knowing who she is in Christ has empowered her to want to share His love with others.

Brenda has been married to her husband John for thirty-six years.  The birth of three sons amidst six moves due to John’s work defined their first fifteen years of marriage.  One of those moves included a year in Ethiopia under SIM doing mission work.  Other ways she ministered during that time were leading women’s Bible studies and prayer groups, teaching Sunday school, leading youth groups with John, participating on worship teams, and organizing neighborhood outreaches.

Currently, she enjoys speaking at retreats and events, as well as getting together with women to share the hope of Jesus in their everyday lives.  She is still very involved in MOPS (now Hershey Free Church Moms Connect) and Bible studies, and is part of a mentoring leadership team at her church, giving training and support to new mentors. She also joins her husband in providing premarital counseling for engaged couples.
Most recently God has laid on Brenda's heart a real burden and passion for women and children caught in sex trafficking and slavery.  Since the spring of 2011 she has been representing WAR (Women at Risk) International by helping American women build circles of protection around women at risk throughout the world.
